Benjamin M. Symonette

1LT Benjamin M. Symonette enlisted in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer in 1994 and attended OSUT at Fort Leonard wood, Missouri. His first assignment was with 13th Engineer Battalion, 7th Infantry Division, where he served as a Team Leader.

1LT Symonette was honorably discharged from active duty service in 1999 and subsequently commissioned in the Infantry upon graduation from the United States Military Academy in 2003.

After graduating from the Infantry Officer's Basic Course, 1LT Symonette was assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division in Korea, where he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader in Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (AASLT). 1LT Symonette was subsequently assigned as the Alpha Company Executive Officer on 4 February 2005.
