B/1-506 IN Commander's Letter to the Company
We have just completed a new chapter in the Currahee history book and all of you should be very proud of what you have accomplished in Iraq. Also, let it be known to everyone that all of you are a special bunch, not just for being a Currahee but for being the only ones to deploy from one forward deployed assignment to another in a deadly combat zone. Now we are steadily transitioning from the everyday life in Al Anbar to everyday life back at our new duty station. Men, just remain focused and the bumpy roller coaster ride which will occur when we transition into a new Unit of Action will eventually smooth itself out. We are Currahees and we will overcome any challenges that lie ahead. We have succeeded this past year in every aspect and have made significant contributions in support of freedom and democracy in Iraq. Men, Baker Company has not failed a single mission in Iraq and we will never let our nation down. Be proud of what you have done and what you will be doing in the future. Your loved ones, the nation, and the chain of command thanks you and are proud of what you have accomplished and what we all have accomplished as a company. I thank you for your service and sacrifice. Stands Alone! CPT Toma KimCompany Commander |
