David L. TaylorCPT David L. Taylor was born in Galveston, TX to Clara and David Taylor in November 1974. After graduating from LaMarque High School in 1993, CPT Taylor attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX. CPT Taylor earned a BA in Public Administration and was commissioned through the university's ROTC program in December 1998.

In June 1999, CPT Taylor graduated from the Air Defense Officer Basic Course and was assigned to D/5-5 ADA 2nd Infantry Division, Republic of Korea as an Avenger Platoon Leader. In September 2000, CPT Taylor was assigned to 1st Battalion 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, TX where he served as Battery Executive Officer for twenty-one months. CPT Taylor is a graduate of the Field Artillery Advanced Course, and holds an MA in Management from Webster University. CPT Taylor assumed command of Bravo Battery 5th Battalion 5th Air Defense Artillery Regiment on 10 September 2003.

CPT Taylor's wife Angella and daughter Tomieka (age 11) reside in Spring, TX.
