Bushwhacker Newsletter (Jan 05)
Just before the move, CPL Natalia Ali won the Battalion Soldier of the Quarter Board and went on to win the Brigade SOQ as well. Great job, CPL Ali. The NCO ranks have grown since we have been at Camp Habbaniyah. SPC Billy D. Williams will soon be promoted to Sergeant. As a Specialist, Williams consistently took the initiative to get the job done and he was always ready to take up the leadership position amongst his peers, who followed him without reservation. SPC Sabrina Lambert, the Battery Medic, will also soon be a Sergeant. She has kept Bravo Battery healthy both in Korea and Iraq working hard to care for and train our line soldiers. SPC Jeremy Rodgers and SPC Benjamin Powell will also soon join the NCO ranks. They have both done their part in keeping the Battery running through their diligence and hard work in the orderly room. Now they all have the rank to go with the leadership skills they already possessed. Good job guys. SSG Terry Kennedy will soon be promoted to Sergeant First Class. He has already taken over as Platoon Sergeant for 1st Platoon, Bravo Battery "The Bad Boyz." There is no doubt that he will lead the platoon in the same manner in which he led his Bradley section. The Bushwhackers rang in the New Year with new arrivals to the family back in the United States. SSG Jared Rudd's family welcomed a new baby boy at the beginning of the year. SSG Brian Lamberth has just received news from his wife that in a little over seven months he will be a daddy. SSG Lamberth is hoping for a line backer (boy), but he says he'll be happy with an Olympic Gymnast (girl). Hopefully we will be home in time for the birth. SPC Corey Quintanilla and his wife also welcomed a new addition to their family earlier this year. While everyone else was content to expand their family one child at a time, SPC Joel Herrera decided one wasn't enough. He and his wife had a set of twins. Congratulations to all of you and your families. |
