Bushwhacker Newsletter (Feb 05)

Now, settled in from their move to Camp Habbaniyah, Bravo 5-5 ADA feels right at home with the 1-506 IN. The Battery has just received some great news. Bravo 5-5 ADA will soon welcome three more Captains into their fold. 1LTs Sumter, MacNab, and Lowe all came up on the promotion list for Captain. They will be promoted to Captain in October of 2005. Congratulations to these gentlemen on this accomplishment. We are sure that their families are proud of them.

The Fourth Platoon of Destroyer Company that was left with the Bushwhacker battery will soon be departing Camp Habbaniyah to join the rest of their company in Camp Ramadi. They will be missed. Good luck Destroyer. While Bushwhacker is losing the final Destroyer platoon they have gained a new addition to the unit. SSG Leif Jordan just became a part of Bravo Battery 5-5 ADA by way of Fort Carson, Colorado where he was in 2-2 IN Replacement Company.

We would like to say congratulations to SSG Terry Kennedy's daughter Caitlin for celebrating her first birthday. Have a Happy First Birthday and many more to follow. We would also like to say congratulations to SSG Mark Kleppe and his wife Angie for recently celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary. We wish you many more.
