Chaplain's Corner (Feb 05)

I hope all our Currahee family members and friends are doing well. February was a month filled with Chapel events in our community on Camp Habbaniyah. Beginning with February 9th, we had two Ash Wednesday services and continue with weekly Lenten services as we prepare for Holy week in March. Many who attend our services, Bible Studies and Fellowships will begin daily readings in the book, Purpose Driven Life. There will be 40 readings for the 40 days of lent. I invite you to join in on our daily readings with us. Our goal is that God will make long and lasting changes in our lives, so when we return we will be kinder, more loving, and emboldened with God's purpose for our lives in a deeper way. On Friday nights, we have continued with the DVD series on Creation vs. Evolution and the response has been great. We are continuing our Bible Study on the Book of Proverbs on Wednesday nights as well. Our series of sermons on Sunday mornings focusing on Biblical leadership has also had great response. I would like to ask that you please pray for our efforts and pray for safety for all our soldiers and service members.

As we continue on into this new year, our desire is to keep the same passion for our spiritual life thriving and to lift up our soldiers, our family members and our friends back home in prayer as well. We are all grateful for the abundant support you have provided from back home. Please know your support has lifted the morale of all our soldiers more than you can know. I ask that you continue to pray for our safety and protection as well.

It is exciting seeing what God is doing here at Camp Habbaniyah! Please know I will update you next months in the Chaplain's Corner section of the FRG newsletters on the 'goings on' here. I would like to hear from you. Please e-mail me with prayers, comments, etc. My AKO is randal.robison@us.army.mil. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Again, thank you all for your prayer support and all the items you have sent our way. May God bless you all in every way in 2005!
