Chaplain's Corner (Apr 05)

Hello to all our Currahee family members and friends back home! All in our Camp Habbaniyah Chapel community hope everyone back home is doing well. We just experienced a wonderful conclusion to our Lenten season. During Holy Week we had events going on each night at the chapel. All who attended were encouraged in their faith to live righteously before the Lord. We concluded our Holy Week celebration with an early Sunrise Service on Easter morning. Both our regular scheduled services on Sunday were well attended, and one of the highlights of the week included three soldiers who were baptized on Easter. It was a wonderful day here at Camp Habbaniyah. April will prove to be a great month of events and happening in our Chapel community as well. We will continue our weekly Bible studies on Wednesdays with the book, The Purpose Driven Life. The response had been great! All who attend the Bible study are growing in their faith and encouraging others. On Friday nights, we will continue with our DVD series on Creation vs. Evolution. Many soldiers have responded favorably to the truth of God's word. The attendance has been great! Our continued goal is to allow God to make long and lasting changes in our lives. We desire to return home more embolden with God's purpose for our lives in a deeper way.

I would like to ask that you please continue to pray for our efforts here to reach our soldiers and service members with God's word. Also, please pray for the safety of all our soldiers and service members as they conduct their missions each day. Your prayers mean so much!

As we continue on into this deployment, it is our desire to continue to keep the same passion for our spiritual life thriving and to lift up all our soldiers, as well as our family members and friends back home. Please know we are praying for you as well. We are all grateful for the on-going support you have provided from home. Please know your support continues to lift the morale of all our soldiers more than you can know. Thank you!

It is exciting seeing what God is doing here at Camp Habbaniyah! I will update you next month in the Chaplain's Corner section of the FRG newsletters on the new 'happenings' taking place. I would enjoy hearing from you. Please e-mail me with prayer requests, comments, etc. My AKO is randal.robison@us.army.mil. I look forward hearing from you soon.

Again, thank you all for your prayer support and all the items you have sent our way. May God bless you all in every way in 2005!
