Baker Newsletter (Jun 05)

The soldiers of Baker Company were called upon this month to support our sister battalion, 1-503rd Infantry, at Camp Combat Outpost in Ramadi. Although there is much to be done in the area around Camp Habbaniyah, the 1-503rd needed help from Baker Company. And I can think of no soldiers more qualified for the job. Our soldiers conducted some of their missions in order to allow the 1-503rd to focus combat power on greater Ramadi. Baker Company significantly improved several of the positions making them more tenable. 1-503rd was appreciative of the extra help.

In great Baker Company fashion, our soldiers proved that no task was too big, no mission to great, that would stop our soldiers from having a good time. Baker soldiers still managed to conduct physical training and even worked on their tans. Baker Company's time at the C.O.P. should be coming to a close soon, but their job is not finished. As the mission Company, Baker Company will be the main effort in the Currahee's area of operations upon their return to Camp Habbaniyah. And I am sure they will perform as professionally and enthusiastically as always.

Stands Alone!
