Taylor M. JordanCPT Taylor M. Jordan was born in The Presidio of San Francisco, California and his family now resides in Fresno, California. He is a graduate of The University of California at Davis, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He earned his commission in June 1996, and entered active duty service in the Infantry Branch on 16 June 1996.

Following his commission, CPT Jordan attended the Infantry Officers' Basic Course, Airborne School, U.S. Army Ranger School, and subsequently was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. There he served as a Rifle Platoon Leader and an Anti-Armor Platoon Leader.

After completion of the Infantry Officers' Advanced Course and the Combined Arms Service Staff School, CPT Jordan served as a Platoon Trainer at the Infantry Officer Basic Course at Ft. Benning, Georgia, where he was recognized as the U.S. Army Infantry School "Instructor of the Quarter" in Jan 2003. Upon completion of his tour as an instructor, he was assigned to the 2nd Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division where he has served as the Battalion Logistical Officer for the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment in the Republic of Korea and its subsequent deployment into combat operations in Iraq. He now serves as the Commander of Headquarters and Headquarters Company.

Captain Jordan's awards and decorations include: Army Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Army Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman's Badge and the Ranger Tab.
