HHC/1-506 IN XO's Biography

Brady A. Bagwan1LT Brady Bagwan was born in the Philippines and raised in Queens, NY. He graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and was commissioned into the Army as an Infantry Officer in 2002.

He attended the Infantry Officer Basic Course at Fort Benning, GA immediately after receiving his commission. He then attended Ranger School, Airborne School, and the Infantry Mortar Leader's Course before being assigned as a Rifle Platoon Leader in C Co, 1-503rd Infantry (AASLT) at Camp Casey, Korea in 2003. He next served as an Anti-Armor Platoon Leader in D Co, 1-506th Infantry (AASLT) at Camp Greaves, Korea. 1LT Bagwan was then selected to be the Currahee Battalion Support Platoon Leader in 2004 prior to its deployment in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was subsequently assigned as the HHC Executive Officer in 2005.

His awards and decorations include the Ranger Tab, the Parachutist Badge, the Expert Infantryman's Badge, and the Army Commendation Medal. 1LT Bagwan will be promoted to Captain later this year and will be staying with 1-506th at Fort Carson, CO until 2006. He hopes to become the Morale Welfare and Recreation Officer in Colorado.
