KEVIN ALLEN POEHLS, born August 8, 1985, passed away May 19, 2008 at the age of 22 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Kevin is survived by his mother and stepfather, Linda and Michael Barber; father, Larry Poehls; sister, Rachel Barber; brother, Bryan Barber; grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many loving friends. Kevin graduated from B.F. Terry High School in Rosenberg, and joined the Army following graduation. He served in Iraq with A Company 2nd Battalion 506th Infantry 4th Brigade Combat Team before being diagnosed with cancer. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, May 22, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 23, 2008 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. |
