Friday Evening BBQ
Alpha Company, 1st BN, 506th, Vietnam Currahees gathered for a reunion, July 15-17,
in Howell, MI, at the Amerihost Inn, with Brian Heeg "Pall Mall" and his wife Nancy as
Reunion Hosts. The Friday evening event was a catered BBQ at the Heeg farm.

Fred May

Fred May continued the tradition he began with the 2001 A Company Reunion
by purchasing Currahee Challenge Coins and then presenting a coin to each
Currahee veteran who is attending his first A Company Reunion. 2005
Reunion attendees receiving coins included Don Burgett, Lenard Farnsworth,
Larry Hendricks, Ben Infuso, Dennis Lahiff, John Lally, Jim O'Laughlin,
and Bill Perry.

Fred, as Chairman of the 506th Association Currahee Packages Project, gave a
brief summary of the project and “passed the can around” for donations . . . a
total of $501 was donated to the Currahee Packages by the reunion attendees.
