Each year, the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders make a trip to Korea just before Christmas to entertain the armed forces personnel. In 1992, cheerleaders and a chaperone landed at the soccer/softball field between Camp Liberty Bell and Camp Bonifas, the United Nations Command Security Force camp that sits on the south boundary of the DMZ. The cheerleaders went straight to Camp Bonifas. Carl Graves' task as the First Sergeant of A Company, 1-506th, was to pick up the team from Camp Bonifas, take them to Camp Liberty Bell and when they finished there, escort them to Camp Greaves. One of the First Sergeants from Camp Pelham then picked up the bus from Camp Greaves and took them to Camp Pelham, at that time the home to an artillery battalion. They traveled between the camps in a civilian-style bus. |

All of the tables were moved from the dining facility
so the cheerleaders would have space to put on their one-hour show for the 160 men at Camp Liberty Bell. They then went to Camp Greaves to perform for the rest of the 1st Battalion, 506th. |
