River Crossing near Yoju

Crossing the Han River near Yoju

Team Spirit '93 was held in the same vicinity where the Battle of Chipyong-ni was
fought during the Korean War. Chipyong-ni is a small village located 20 kilometers
due north of Yoju across the Han River.


Farmer and Cow
It was a typical March. The weather was wet, and it was still cold, but during the day
it warmed up enough for the farmers to begin working their fields.



ENDEX

ENDEX (End of Exercise): Team Spirit '93 ended on March 19th.


ENDEX
On March 24th, five days after the conclusion of the Team Spirit '93 exercises,
Kim Jong Il, Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, cancelled the
order that had placed all the units of the North Korean military forces and the
entire nation to a semi-war state in reaction to Team Spirit '93.



ENDEX
1993 marked the last of the Team Spirit exercises . . . beginning in 1994, it was replaced
by RSOI (Reception, Staging, Onward movement, and Integration)
