Departure Ceremony
As part of the 2BCT, 2ID, the 1-506th was the first unit to
ever deploy to combat from Korea. Task Force Currahee
included 1-506th INF (Currahee); A/2-72 AR (Apache),
C/44 ENG (Sapper), a Paladin platoon from 2/17 FA
(Steel), and a counter-intelligence team from 102nd MI.
