Scout Dog Team
On the trip from Camp Evans, B Company was joined by four scout dog
teams from the 48th Infantry Platoon (Scout Dog). With the white dog,
Ken Langham; standing, Kenneth "Sugar Bear" Higginbottom. The
Huey (UH-1H) slick is from B Troop, 2/17th Cavalry, BAN'SHEE .

FSB Vandergrift
Looking west from the ridge line overlooking FSB Vandergrift, the road runing right
to left is Highway QL-9, just in front of the far ridge line. The helicopter refueling
pad
is centered between the trees; the white dots are refueling bladders. The land-
ing airstrip
is in the upper left on the far side of the base; Khe Sanh is further toward
the west.



FSB Sarge
FSB Sarge is the high flat point in the top left of the photo, visible when looking
south from the ridge line overlooking FSB Vandergrift.
