2nd BN, 506th Infantry with their colors, which had been "cased" since July 31, 1972,
when the 2-506th was inactivated, and relieved from assignment to the 101st Division.

The blue guidons are those of 2-506th companies HHC, A, B, C, and D. The red
guidon is that of F Company, 801st BSB (Brigade Support Battalion), the Forward
Support Company of the 2nd BN, 506th Infantry.



Uncasing the 2-506th Colors

(L-R): LTC Gregory K. Butts (CO, 2nd BN, 506th ) and CSM Robert
L. Moss (CSM, 2nd BN, 506th) uncase the 2-506th colors during the
Reactivation Ceremony.

To the left, LTC Ronald P. Clark (CO, 1st BN, 506th) is standing in front of
the 1-506th colors, which have just been uncased.
