Active-duty A/1-506th Currahees volunteered to help with the installation. SPC Billy
Ray Wheelan dug the holes, aided by SPC John Hutson and PFC Michael Prewitt.

While a front-loader tractor had to be used in Crestline, OH to place the monument
on the platform and into a pickup, at Fort Campbell, the unloading and placment of
the monument was accomplished by nine Able Company soldiers!
