Captured Weapons

An unidentified Charlie Company soldier counts, tags, and stacks captured
weapons
in the LZ prior to the weapons being airlifted out of Cambodia.

On May 12, C Company, 3rd BN had discovered a large weapons cache.
Among the captured equipment were 760 small arms, 65 CSW, 101x 57mm
RR rounds, 222x B-40 rounds, 20x 75mm rounds, 525x 82mm rounds, 8,100
SA ammo, 155 pair of NVA binoculars, and about a thousand grenades and
mines of various types and descriptions.




Directing Search
(R): CPT Robert L. Acklen, Jr. directs the troops of Charlie Company searching

Grenade Handles

On May 14, near the captured weapons cache site, Charlie Company found a
box with grenade handles, etc. in a hootch area 4 miles inside of Cambodia.



Cambodia LZ, May 1970
PFC Michael L. Marks, 1st Platoon, attaches an American flag
to a stump in the LZ in Cambodia from which the captured cache
site weapons were airlifted out by CH-47 Chinook helicopters.

Ban Me Thout
