Myers Family
June 1944: PFC John Myers, at home on leave, with his
wife Dorothy and their daughter Sharon. John was in a cast
because he had broken his leg (compound fracture) during
a practice jump in England before D-Day. John did not jump
again. He was reassigned to be a rifle instructor at the Para-
chute School at Fort Benning for the remainder of the war.
