Daily Staff Journals

Daily Staff Journals are records covering a 24 hour period beginning at midnight and ending at midnight. Daily Staff Journals describe, by day/hour/minute, actions recorded at the Battalion level. "Action" includes troop deployment and movement, enemy contact, resupply, evacuation etc.. for a specified period.

January 1968

Daily staff journal for the 31st of the month at this time. At the time the battalion was in Phuoc Vinh. Daily staff journal for the 1st through 5th of the month at this time. At the time the battalion was in Bien Hoa Province.

Daily staff journals for the entire month of March, 1971. At the outset of the month the battalion participated in Operation Jefferson Glen in the vicinity of FSB Jack. Toward the end of the month the battalion moved north to FB Khe Gio along Highway 9 in support of Lam Son 719.
